Later, Tekish becomes enraged with the Turkmen Beys, but the Beys warn him strongly this time. Tajul is assigned to accompany the Hajj group for a time.

When the Prince arrives at the castle, he discovers that Melik Shah has returned the holy spear, which he blesses for his men. The Prince begins to cough and tremble as he sits on his throne. While the Prince’s mouth is filled with blood, he notices that the Sultan has poisoned the sacred spear.
